The OCIP camp was really quite an experience. Altho it was a camp only slightly more than 24hrs, it felt longer than it seemed. It seemed like the longest 24 hr day i've ever experienced in life. Not because the camp was boring or torturous, but because the day was so packed with activites, leaving not much time to slack at all. It wasnt like any normal camp which were much relaxed. I felt very challenged by this camp. Every activity was a way to prove one's abilities, to test one's character. After ice breakers, (if i remember) we had to find green beans frm the grass patch outside the E block. At 1st i thought, how sadistic can they get! But after giving it some thoughts, i realised that it was an activity to see if we were willing to get dirty. Some just dug superficially, while others got on all 4s to look for the beans. It was so hard to find them in the dark, each group wif only 4 small torches! The ground was moist, and my grp found more bugs than beans! milipedes, bugs, spiders, u name it we found it. The camp was 1 filled with a lot of discipline. The seniors were all very hash and fierce to us, but i guess they had to, so that they can find people who are truly disciplined.

After that, we were given timeto bathe, and soon off to bed(like real). At bout 2plus in the morning, we were woken up and had to count strength. Im so blur i counted the wrong strength. Forgot that there was another person in the group. Must have left a bad impression man. Was scolded by shih jie for counting wrong strength, because valenie went to the toilet. Everyone was scolded for awhile b4 we went back to slp again. Then we were woken up at 3plus again by a "fire alarm", which was actually a hoax, and we went for a night trek to mt faber. treked till bout 7am. Mt faber was such a nice place! It was my 1st time up there, and the view up there was great! A pity that we only stayed up there for such a short while...

After breakfast, we had station games. The games were quite fun, and they required a lot of team work. Then there was the interview. yikes i tink i screwed it up because they asked "If there is only 1 spot left and we were to choose btwn u and rox, what is the thing that u haf that will make us choose u?" and i replied i will give my position to rox, because she's more cares about others more than me and includes everyone in.

Then we had lunch. Field cooking. haha again it was the 1st time i cooked with mess tins because my ccas never had to cook in camps. It was really fun! Thoroughly enjoyed cooking the food. After that we had to clean the entire lower caf. It was such a tiring task! we cleaned the caf in an hour and 15 mins. I scrubbed really hard, but the seniors were not happy enuf and many times they hollered " U call that scrubbing? scrub harder!!" The end product of a clean caf was truly rewarding. Esp so when you noe u've put in effort, and was part of the team who made the caf clean.

Endurance run was right after the cleaning. We ran for an hour 2 mins, and again, it was the longest i've ever ran in my life! i thought i wouldnt survive it but i did! I realised the inportance of encouragement. Each time someone encouraged me, i felt a surge of energy enabling me to run more. After the run i felt great having survived the run. Ran till my inner ankles hurt a lot, but the effort was worth it. Perserverance is truly impt n im glad i perserved cuz in the course of running, somehow there were a few times that my mind told me to stop running, but i did not succumb to it. ok shall end here... lazy to type ald.. super long entry.

woo hooo rapture rawks! it was a tremendous success! wheeee we DID it! zaki's such a nice choreographer! he bought every single one of us ferrero rocher! it was such a nice n warm thing to receive! bleahz but my bro ate like half of it tdy!! grrrrrr...

havent talked to u in such a relaxed manner for such a long time. ytd was a refreshing experience. hope it'll stay the same way, rather than avoiding each other...

today was such a terrible day. firstly got scolded by mr lim for being late for phy tut along wif wei wei n thiri. he din even give us the chance to explain tt we were late cuz we were ordering the bio text. den there was dance. there were just so many negative things happening tdy it felt like a whirlwind of thunderstorm.
1. the ribbon issue: ok i noe we were a lil lazy at times, but still, given the amt of time to practise wif the ribbon n the uncertainty of the ribbon, i tink we did ok. itz not tt we din put in any effort at all. seriously. but itz not up to us whether the ribbon decides to tangle. it has a mind of itz own. anyway, i can truly say that since we recieved the ribbon, i've been trying my best, and so haf the rest. so there u go... our day din haf to end so highly-strung n unpleasant rite? so i hope u understand.
2. celestine: annnoyyinggg.... why r u such an overbearing piece of S**T? hello u dun haf the rights to make everyone do wad u command, moreover so when ur commands are ridiculous n irrelevant. hello... i merely told u tt the barre needs another person to support n wad did u say? no need la. hello. i believe i've seen the barre in action many more times than u n u din haf to rudely continue speaking like a spoilt brat DEMANDING me to help u wif the barre when my hands were filled wif costumes rite. ur rudeness and tactlessness really puts ppl off. cant u tell ppl nicely, and stop acting as though u r the president or smth? because u arent. u r juz like every1 else. wadevaaa
3. the ribbon whacked my eye: for an instant i told my contacts popped out. i guess it must b the cohesive forces of my tears (water) which managed to 'pull' my contacts back. eek. still hurting till now.
4. blocking: i haf no idea y im so bloody off blocking. so annoyed wif myself for tt. i got stabbed in the head by an umbrella, hit a few ppl wif my umbrella... sigh. im so useless.
5. money: i lost $20 juz now. dunno how. prob during dance cuz when i finished classes i still had tt $20. hope it wasnt stolen. or curse b upon the thief.
6. bus: i HATE PUBLIC TRANSPORT! esp 162. i waited for it at macritchie for AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR! n bloody... it din come.. there i was, so exhausted n sweaty n smelly, the bus refused to come. y r bus intervals so irregular? there're getting me on my nerves! tink i shld write the LTA essay now. n complain in my essay all abt public transport.

enuf of complaining. after typing all tis out i feel betta. 2 more days to rapture n i feel unprepared. wish me the best of luck! hope i dun screw up on that day n disgrace myself, dance n the sch.

an eventful say i must say. 1stly, while stretching for the dance rehearsal for SYF in the city,( 16july bout 5 will b sa's turn at PS) jac commented that the windows seem to b moving. heon turned n realised it was a snake moving!!! there it was. a green garde snake slithering across the dance studio's window. immediately i screamed. GOD I HATE SNAKES N FEAR THEM! when wei liang shouted "outside got snake" many din believe till dey came out, saw the snake n started screaming. every1 was panicky but jackie mananged to calm us down, shift us to a comfortable distance away frm it n we watched the snake, like a fanastic movie. i guess the snake must haf been really petrified by us so it was like slithering up the window, possibly to try to get further away frm a grp of crazy screamers. yi jun alerted the office n a whole grp of ppl came along later. mrs lim came too, along wif ms tan n some other office ppl in an attempt to catch the snake. the hook to catch snakes was sooooooo big la! den tt spastic snake escaped, slithered across the radio n out of the studio, across our shoes n down into the "jungle". EEEKKKSKSS disgusting. i hope the snake din go across my shoes. i HATE SNAKES. *shudders

dance today was really tiring. did hollaback for almost the entire day, but it was pretty fufilling. regret not perfecting my steps back in the june hols, so i din noe quite a lot of steps while doing today. had to mark and copy steps on the way, but eventually i managed to learn all the steps, n correct those that i was taught wrongly. the announcement of dance exco came out tdy. some were unexpected while others were highly predictable, but i must say im quite happy wif the people in the exco. must perfect my hollaback steps by wed. andrea, lets work harder for the next few days! :)

wheeee!!! 05s52 won the amazing race!! we're the amazing racers! wahaha tt sounded very like a cartoon. the team: shi yan, kar loon, wei jun, mun fong, emm, wei ling, thiri n me! when the race started we started to chiong as well. 1st station was the biting apple station. i had to finish 80% of the apple wif shi yan. waaa he damn zai, got strategy to finish it faster somemore... but embarassingly i accidentally bit somewhere below his lower lip! so pai seh la!! haha but wadeva. we finished the apple 1st cuz of mun fong n shi yan's eh-hem technique. lol... haha 1 funny station was the kissing station. we chose to kiss a man's ass outta a few pictures. wahhaha 52 rawks. we used the lip stick till it broke den in the end kar loon juz smudged the whole thing onto his mouth, while shi yan indigeniously suggested using our hands to 'kiss' as well... so our man was loaded wif loads of kisses, handprints n all. woo hoo we finished the race so fast tt even the house council ppl havent prepared the last station! den we were held back in the holding room for the longest period in our lifes. hahha finally we reached the field, where we had to carry 3 ppl across the field 2times! after piggybacking thiri once across i was like weak. really felt drained; not by her weight but by the sheer distance of the breadth of the field! anyway the last station was funny. we had to 'steal' a key frm the prison cell n wahhaa we wasted our newspapers n tape so our last resort was the guys' shirts. so the 4 poor guys in our class had to remove their shirts, which were attached to an umbrella n wif it, we got the key! haha thanks to kar loon ;) hahaha still remb the scene where after shi yan n wei jun took off their shirts, dey hid in the umbrella. it was hilarious! tink when mon comes, suddenly the 4 of them will haf secret admirers ald eh? lol. anyway, we won 1st n the prize to it? an $80 swensen's voucher. after the day ended we went to eat in pizza hut, den went to play pool. hahah it was a nice class outing, cuz many ppl went, n i saw another side of melissa. not the usually quiet, demure side. hahaha cant wait for another class outing!!! :):)
